Thanksgiving
As always, Thanksgiving was a hectic affair. It involves me cooking and baking all day while dear John is in the woods not getting a deer again (he has yet to get his first and has been hunting for 7 years) and trying to wrangle the kids. This year we have Olivia so in between all of that I must find time to nurse her. By the time he came out of the woods I was pulling my hair out and wishing I could just crawl into bed, however, he went to bed instead. Of course he get's up just in time to load the car up to go to my aunts.
We had a wonderful dinner, stuffed ourselves silly and shared stories. My brother John was there for the first time in about 15 years. He is a recent divorcee and always spent the holidays with his inlaws. It was a blast, we all listed everything we were thankful for this year which was quite a long list as we welcomed 2 new babies, our fourth and my neice's first, my sister successful battled cancer and my mother is with us after a very big scare in October. All of that along with God blessing us many times over and us all being able to be together made it worth the craziness of the morning. It is amazing how focusing on family and love tends to wash away all the chaos and little things that annoy us. Be thankful for all that you have, don't sweat the small stuff.
